Dear Editor,
Following up with Mr. Paul Varella's comments, I would like to point out yet another evidence of Mr. Moore's bias in his article about the current corruption scandal in Brazil.

Mr. Moore wrote that the Auditor General's report on the sponsorship issue "… led to a hand-wringing and a public inquiry, whereas more serious allegations about the PT in Brazil provoked an explosion of satire". Mr. Moore ommits the fact that those allegations about the PT have been the object of a Parliamentary Investigation Committee (CPI) for over a month now. CPIs are the most serious investigations carried out in the political world in Brazil, having led in the past to the impeachment of President Fernando Collor and several members of Congress for involvement with corruption. Mr. Moore's failure to mention this only reinforces the impression that his article was biased and misinforming.

Sincerely,
