blocks "loop setup" in Calgary downtown

Seats throughout the route
were built by the city of Calgary, some arrived as early as 6:30am to get
the best spot;

Participants walked through the complete parade route in app.

of 170 groups took part in the parade,ours was number 121 -

Second year that the BrazilianAssociation.org
participates;

Categories in the contest included:
cultural. corporation, city, outros - see at the right side
for the winners;

Our prize `Best Overall` refers to all aspects of the entry: float,presentation
with costumes and line-up, and
music;

Compliance with the rules and regulations, for instance -safety which
could put a group out
of the parade;
-
There is a limit
of 25 participants,however we can request an increase in size if applicable,
this year we got an increase to
35 people;
-
We won a special award - see picture
above;
-
We thank very much our three special guests from Brazilian group Batunta.com who helped
us with a special a valuable contribution in
the "Batucada" Brazilian Drumming.

We
also thank all who contributed to this special ocasion, including
Jose Neto and the Batucada group, and Alice Campello Neves and
Samba Brasil Heritage Dance Group.
